good morning
Stolen moments, smiles and whispers
Laughter and outright giggles.
Rustling sheets, sighs until quiet.
Walking into the room you peek in at two innocent sleeping faces.
Feeling your arms slide around my waist to pull me back to lie against your named body.
I feel your smile and say, “Look at them. So innocent. Which one started the fire?”
Your response, ‘She did.”
Laughing I turn and asked, “and which one used the stuffed dog for target practice?”
“She did.” He laughed.
“Which one decided daddy's drawing were spaceships with underwear gas fuel?”
Laughing, “He did.”
Good morning I say and I kissed you.
